About Bridget
Having great interest in the helping professions, I graduated from SUNY Stonybrook with studies focused in Sociology & Psychology. While my children were growing up I continued my education, taking courses in Consolation, Bereavement and Spirituality. Since 2000 I have been prompted to incorporate all the traditional teachings into a holistic approach to wellness.
After my enrollment in my first Reiki class in 2001, my joyful Reiki journey began. My introduction to Reiki afforded me the tools I needed in finding the quiet necessary to connect with my Spirit. I have since been attuned as a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher. I can honestly say that Reiki has changed my life. I am truly grateful for the empowerment and insight that Reiki has given and continues to give to me. Reiki is many things to many people: to me it is “God’s Grace”. It has it’s own wisdom and is guided by the Creator. Therefore Reiki can do no harm and is always appropriate.
For all of us there is an invitation to answer the call of our souls, to fulfill our life’s purpose. We all possess many gifts to assist us in bringing joy to our world. The fruits of our efforts in seeking out these gifts are the positive rewards realized in our daily encounters. We can achieve a sense of peace and quiet through many modalities so I invite you to keep searching until you find the combination of things that empowers you.
Here at Wellness and Reiki the workshops, classes and treatments are offered to assist you on your “soul” journey. We hope to give you tools to help you share your gifts with others. One of our healing modalities Reiki is a gift for all of us, it does not discriminate. Reiki is not limited to any religion, race, background or age. As a matter of fact we offer classes designed specifically for children, as well as children with special needs.
It is a true joy to be able to expand my service to others as a Minister. I am able to officiate weddings, memorial services and other spiritual gatherings. Sharing in spiritual direction is both humbling and enlightening.
It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to be able to share some of our tools at local schools. Introducing young people to benefits of Self Care, Meditation, Reiki and other Energy principles invites them to appreciate that they are much more than just their physical bodies. About Darah
Darah K. Salmaggi is a certified Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner, Artist, Mother, Card Reader, Spiritual Counselor and is Bridget’s daughter. She has been reading cards since the age of 16 a special gift she was bestowed down from her Irish ancestors.
Darah is affiliated with NYU Langone Health as the program Manager of the Integrative Health department. As such she delivers dynamic programming that impact the patients, community, nurses and staff members of the NYU Langone network. With her advanced training in transforming trauma, through the Center for MindBody Medicine© she specializes in healing and moving trauma through the body. Her passion is to promote the value of self-care through the use of integrative mind-body modalities.
