We are exposed on a daily basis to many cancer causing agents. It may not be possible or cost effective to avoid all of these chemicals in your cleaning and personal care products, but there are plenty of ways to reduce your family’s exposure to them. Using therapeutic-grade essential oils is a safe, effective alternative to many store-bought cleaning products. Some of the best essential oils for cleaning include cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, thyme, spruce, lemon, lemongrass, and grapefruit. Try some of the following ideas for a powerful, natural clean:
- Household cleaner: Fill a spray bottle with water and a squirt of dishwashing soap. Add 3–5 drops each of lavender, lemon, and pine essential oils. Shake well.
- Floor Cleaner: Add 1/4 cup white vinegar to a bucket of water. Add 5-10 drops lemon, pine, spruce, melaleuca, or Purification essential oil.
- Kitchens and bathrooms: Mix into 1 quart water: 2 drops rosemary, 4 drops lemon, 3 drops eucalyptus, and 4 drops lavender. Shake well and put into a spray bottle. Shake again before using.
Plants contain complex and powerful substances known as essential oils. These are aromatic liquids derived from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. These distinctive components defend plants from insects, harsh environmental conditions, and disease. They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings. Referred to as the essence of the plant, pure essential oils not only protect the plant but also determine its aroma.
Essential oils have been used throughout time dating back to 4500 BC. From perfumes and aromatherapy to cooking and medicinal purposes, essential oils have been used in everyday life for centuries. In modern days, research shows that pure essential oils can provide similar benefits to humans and animals that they give to plants.
How to Use Essential Oils
There are three basic ways to use essential oils: inhalation, topical application, and internal consumption.
Raindrop Technique is a powerful revolutionary method of bringing balance to the body.
Raindrop Technique combines the Art of Aromatherapy with the Vita Flex techniques and various massage strokes in the application of essential oils to the body. Ten therapeutic-grade essential oils are applied like little drops of rain along the vertebrae. They are dispensed in a particular sequence, using moist heat and can produce excellent results. Therapeutic-grade essential oils are a wonderful way to nurture your muscles, tissues, nerves, organs and emotions. This technique provides a revolutionary means of bringing balance and harmony to the body – physically, mentally, and emotionally. The oils used in a Raindrop treatment are Thyme, Basil, Peppermint, Oregano, Wintergreen, Cypress, Marjoram, Valor and Aroma Seiz. Also used is Ortho Ease Massage Oil.
